INFECTION FIGHTERS
This is a story-based game comprising seven levels. Each level represents a specific infectious disease or health-related concept and progresses from easy to hard.
The player will navigate in a linear order through the seven levels of the game, starting at level one. The player will assist the main character through his journey to overcome the myths and fears surrounding tuberculosis (TB) by engaging with the educational material and then testing their knowledge gain through the educational games (gamified activities) at the end of each level.
In this way the player of the game is also on a path of discovery to dismantle their preconceptions surrounding TB and other infectious diseases. Throughout the game, players can monitor their progress through their scores (although this is not for competitive play). At the end of each level’s game, the player receives feedback regarding the achievement in the activity. When a particular level has been completed, the player moves onto the 2nd level to engage with the material, test their knowledge, record scores, receive feedback and so it continues through to level seven.
